Legals
The Notice of Intended Marriage must be signed in front of the Registered Marriage Celebrant a clear month before the ceremony. I will provide this form for you, and it makes sense to sign this as soon as possible so there is one less thing to be concerned about when the wedding is getting closer.
The Form 14 Declarations also need to be signed, but closer to the wedding date. This is a declaration that there is no legal impediment to your marriage, and I will complete this ready for your signature.
I also need to see your original Birth Certificates before the marriage can take place. Where there has been a previous marriage I need to see evidence of your divorce, or the death certificate if your previous partner is deceased.
On your wedding day, you will need to sign the Marriage Register, the Certificate of Marriage (for forwarding to Births, Deaths and Marriages after the ceremony) and a Certificate of Marriage for you, the couple.
Two witnesses over the age of eighteen are required to sign the certificates on the day. Please let me know their full names in advance.
